Our Expertise
Together, Jack and John bring over 10 years’ combined experience defending alleged driving offences. Their combined knowledge of the law and court procedure enables Verida Legal to deliver expert advice and representation in every case.
Both solicitors maintain an up-to-date understanding of road traffic legislation and case law, including complex technical and legal arguments.
Verida Legal was built on a simple idea: you deserve the truth about your case and you deserve it in plain English.
The name
Verida comes from the roots of veritas and verdad meaning
truth. That matters in motoring law, where a small misunderstanding can lead to the wrong plea, the wrong strategy or a harsher outcome than you expected. We focus on clarity from the first conversation so you know exactly where you stand and what happens next.
We do things differently to traditional firms. You get direct access to a solicitor, honest advice based on the evidence and a clear plan of action, whether that means defending the allegation or preparing properly for court. No jargon, no false confidence, no surprises — just straightforward support when your licence, job and independence are on the line.

How We Work
Our process is straightforward and built to give you clarity early on.
You’ll speak directly with a solicitor for free initial advice, then we’ll review the prosecution evidence and explain your options in plain English, including whether a defence is realistic.
If you decide to proceed, we’ll prepare your case properly and represent you in court, with trial preparation and representation included within your fixed fee.
Free initial consultation
Speak with a solicitor to discuss your case with no initial fee.
Case Review
We analyse the prosecution evidence & advise on your defence.
Representation
We offer full case preparation & trial representation included.
The only way to know if a defence is available to you is to review the evidence thoroughly. As this is our area of expertise, we know what to look for when reviewing your case. We cross-reference your account of events with the evidence provided by the prosecution, leaving no stone unturned.
When choosing a solicitor, it is important you understand that firm’s values and how they operate.
With every case, our first thought is whether we can successfully defend the case. When we dig into the evidence, we often find there are many options that could achieve a successful outcome (just see our services page)! However, our first question is always whether we can win the case.
When we go to court, we see thousands of people walking into court and pleading guilty without seeing any of the evidence against them (and having had no legal advice whatsoever). Without seeing the evidence against you, you will never know whether you could have had a defence.
Our view is everyone should see some of the evidence before entering a plea. If your first opportunity to enter a plea is the first hearing, why not have a specialist obtain and review the evidence first?
If it all checks out, we can still enter a guilty plea and still receive a full discount on the sentence. If we find there are errors or the evidence is weak, you may avoid a conviction altogether.
